Lighting installation questions
Can you install a light where there is no existing fixture?
Yes. We run a new cable from a power source, install a ceiling or wall box and add a switch. In most California homes this is done through the attic with very little patching.
Do you install fixtures I purchased myself?
Yes. Bring us your fixtures and we will assemble and install them. We will also tell you if a fixture is not rated for the location, such as a damp bathroom or outdoors.
Does new lighting in California have to be high efficacy?
For permitted remodels and new construction, California's Title 24 energy code generally requires high-efficacy lighting with dimmers or sensors in many rooms. We select compliant fixtures and controls.
